So recently I got the bright idea of creating Twitter feeds for Golden Tee Golf and our other fine tavern video games. Because, you know, GT is SO web 2.0!

Really, every company and their mother has been setting up social media applications to better communicate their messages with their users. And we here in marketing land at Golden Tee – well – we just think that’s LAME. Why would I want my podiatrist tweeting to me about cool new fungus creams? Come on, MAN!

GT is more like Conky. That Chairy was a whiny SOB!

NO! We feel that Golden Tee is just different! We think that if Golden Tee were a dude, it’d be the type of dude you could talk sports with over a cold bucket of Coronas. Or a know-it-all talking robot that’s here to serve your every need, like Conky from Pee Wee’s Playhouse!

(Yeah, that’s a Pee Wee’s Playhouse reference – so what of it, pal!?)

Anyway, Adam Kramer – our newer marketing guy and GTB blogger – and I took it upon ourselves to start up these fun feeds on Twitter. And I gotta tell you, it’s a blast talking Tee, SSB, TTP out there in Twitterverse. People are shocked to hear “voices” coming from the games they love and I just think that’s cool.

So if you’re on Twitter, follow us – we’ll follow you back. You’ll like what you see, it’s fun! Let’s take this relationship to the next level. And if you’re not a Twitterer, don’t worry. Just say something nice to your friendly Golden Tee machine next time you feel like kicking me, er, I mean it.

Good times,

- DD
